Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 11, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how First Due Movers collects, uses, and shares personal information through our website, and the privacy choices available to you. For the terms that govern your use of our website and services, please see our Terms & Conditions.

1. Who We Are & Scope

First Due Movers (“First Due Movers,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to firstduemovers.com and the estimate, contact, and related features offered on it.

We are a moving company based in Washington State that serves customers in the United States and Canada. Our website is intended for visitors in the United States and Canada and is not directed to individuals in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.

This policy covers our privacy and data practices only. The terms that govern your use of our website and services — including estimates, pricing, cancellations, claims, and messaging (SMS) terms — are set out in our Terms & Conditions.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide. When you request an estimate, contact us, or otherwise interact with our website, we collect the information you submit — typically your name, email address, phone number, the details of your move or request, and how you heard about us.

2.2 Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we and our analytics and advertising providers automatically collect certain information, such as pages viewed, links and buttons clicked, the referring website, approximate (city-level) location, and general device and browser information. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4).

2.3 Address look-ups.Our estimate form uses the Google Maps Platform (Places) to help you enter an address. The characters you type into the address field are sent to Google to return suggestions. Your use of this feature is subject to Google's privacy practices, described in the Google Privacy Policy.

2.4 Spam protection. Our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which collects device and usage signals to distinguish humans from automated abuse. Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We verify reCAPTCHA results but do not store the reCAPTCHA token.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Prepare and deliver moving estimates and respond to your inquiries;
  • Provide, schedule, and support our moving and related services;
  • Operate, secure, maintain, and improve our website;
  • Measure website performance and understand how our content is used;
  • Measure the performance of our advertising and, where permitted, show our ads to you or similar audiences;
  • Detect and prevent spam, fraud, and abuse; and
  • Comply with our legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.

4. Cookies, Analytics & Advertising

4.1 Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies to run the website, remember your preferences (including your privacy choices), measure traffic, and support advertising. Some are necessary for the site to function; others are used for analytics and advertising and can be turned off as described below.

4.2 Analytics.We use Google Analytics (GA4) and Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights to understand how visitors use our site and to improve performance. Google Analytics sets cookies and processes usage data on our behalf; you can review Google's practices in the Google Privacy Policy.

4.3 Advertising. We use Google Ads to promote our services, which may include measuring conversions and showing ads to past visitors (remarketing). This can involve sharing online identifiers (such as cookie or device identifiers) with Google.

4.4 Your controls. We use Google Consent Mode and honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal for advertising. You can turn off analytics and/or advertising at any time using the Your Privacy Choices link in our website footer; your choice is saved on your device and applied on future visits. You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites with Google's opt-out browser add-on and manage Google ad personalization in your Google Ad Settings.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share personal information only as described here:

  • Service providers. We share information with vendors that help us operate, including SmartMoving (our CRM and scheduling provider), Resend (transactional email delivery), Vercel (website hosting and analytics), and Google (analytics, advertising, spam protection, and maps). These providers process information on our behalf under their respective terms.
  • Advertising partners.As described in Section 4, our use of Google Ads and Analytics may involve sharing online identifiers for measurement and remarketing. Under some U.S. state privacy laws this may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can opt out at any time (see Sections 4 and 7).
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of First Due Movers, our customers, or others.
  • Business transfers. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

6. Data Retention

We keep the personal information you submit through our website (such as estimate and contact requests) for up to 10 years, after which we delete or de-identify it, unless a longer period is required to comply with our legal, tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations.

Analytics and advertising data is retained according to the retention settings of the providers that process it on our behalf.

7. Your Privacy Choices & Rights

7.1 Advertising and analytics opt-out. You can turn off advertising and/or analytics at any time using the Your Privacy Choices link in our footer. We also honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid request to opt out of advertising-related data use.

7.2 State privacy rights.Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to know what personal information we collect, request a copy of it, request that it be corrected or deleted, and opt out of targeted advertising or the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

7.3 How to exercise your rights. To make a privacy request, contact us at info@firstduemovers.com or (206) 755-6053. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and you may use an authorized agent where permitted by law.

8. Canadian Visitors (PIPEDA)

If you are located in Canada, we collect, use, and disclose your personal information only with your meaningful consent and for the purposes described in this policy, consistent with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable provincial privacy laws. You may withdraw consent (subject to legal or contractual restrictions), ask what personal information we hold about you, and request that it be corrected, by contacting us using the details in Section 12. Commercial electronic messages we send are subject to Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), identify us as the sender, and include a way to unsubscribe.

9. Sensitive Information & Children

Please do not submit sensitive personal information through our website forms or free-text fields — for example, health or medical information, Social Security or other government identification numbers, or full payment card details. We do not need this information to provide an estimate, and the “What do you need help with?” field is not a secure channel for it.

Our website is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Data Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information we collect against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. Access to estimate and contact records is restricted to authorized personnel. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our website after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
