  • Specialty item moving (pianos, antiques, large furniture, etc.)

All services are subject to availability and may vary based on the scope of the move and other factors discussed during the booking process.

3. Estimates and Pricing

3.1 Estimates — Any quote provided, whether online, via phone, or in person, is an estimate only. Final costs may vary depending on actual services provided, time taken, and any additional items or circumstances encountered during the move.

3.2 Hourly or Flat Rates — Depending on the service type, rates may be billed hourly or as a flat rate. Additional charges may apply for:

  • Long carry or stair fees
  • Heavy or specialty items
  • Extended travel distance or overnight storage
  • Additional labor, packing materials, or delays beyond our control

3.3 Payments — Payment is due as outlined in your invoice or service agreement. We accept major credit cards, checks, and electronic payments. Unpaid balances may incur late fees or collection actions.

4. Cancellations and Rescheduling

To cancel or reschedule, please contact us at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled move.

  • Cancellations made within 48 hours may incur a cancellation fee.
  • No-shows or last-minute cancellations may result in forfeiture of deposits or minimum charges.
    We strive to be flexible and accommodate changes whenever possible.

5. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth and efficient move, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate details regarding your inventory, access points, and special requirements.
  • Be present (or have an authorized representative) during pickup and delivery.
  • Ensure elevators, parking, and property access are available.
  • Secure valuables, cash, and personal documents separately.

We are not responsible for items not packed, labeled, or prepared according to our guidelines unless our team performs the packing.

6. Damages and Claims

We take utmost care in handling your belongings. However, in the rare event of loss or damage:

  • Report all visible damages immediately to the crew leader at the time of delivery.
  • All claims must be submitted in writing within 7 days of the move.
  • Liability is limited as per Washington state regulations and the selected coverage option (basic valuation or full replacement protection).

We are not responsible for damages due to pre-existing conditions, unmarked fragile items, or items packed by the customer.

7. Limitation of Liability

First Due Movers shall not be liable for:

  • Delays caused by traffic, weather, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
  • Losses arising from inaccurate information provided by the customer.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

8. Property Access and Conditions

You authorize First Due Movers and its employees to enter your premises or property for the purpose of performing moving services. We are not responsible for damages to walls, floors, or surrounding property resulting from narrow spaces or structural limitations unless due to proven negligence.

9. Insurance

Basic valuation coverage is included with all moves as required by law.
Optional full-value protection may be purchased for added coverage. Please discuss your insurance options prior to your move date.

10. Termination of Services

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services if:

  • Unsafe or unsanitary conditions are present.
  • Illegal, hazardous, or prohibited items are involved.
  • Our staff faces threats, abuse, or unsafe behavior.

In such cases, applicable charges will still apply for time and labor rendered.

11. Intellectual Property

12. Governing Law
